Hi I’m Jessica, an artist, maker and plant enthusiast sharing her artwork, along with her story. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be an artist. Even at a young age creating and making was something so magical.
As an artist I am constantly inspired by both my upbringing and the beauty of nature that surrounds me. My artwork is my expression of how I view the world and in most instances my voice when words fail.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. My world and who I was fell apart and in many ways my artwork became even more important then ever before, because it had become my therapy and my way of working through what I was feeling.
Now almost three years later I have found hope and in an effort to display this I create from a place of joy. Longing to touch upon the beauty that is unseen and the light of the gospel that I have inside. When I paint everything else fades away, all the noise, distractions and fear, and I simply just paint overflowing with peace.
